20 Actors Who Just Had Awesome Comebacks

There's no denying that Orlando Bloom had a meteoric rise to stardom in the early 2000s, per his roles in Black Hawk Down and The Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean franchises.

Bloom was expected to become a breakout star beyond those projects, and yet it never really happened. 

Outside of his bread-and-butter franchises, he's been mostly stuck in low-profile dramas and, more recently, undemanding genre thrillers.

However, Bloom did himself a huge solid by recently co-starring in the riotous ensemble comedy Deep Cover, where he plays a Very Serious Method Actor who puts his acting chops to use while working undercover for the police.

The result is proof perfect that Bloom should do more comedy - he's absolutely hysterical here and the result is quite arguably the best performance he's ever given in all honesty.

While Bloom's next film isn't a comedy, it will at least pair him with one of cinema's great auteurs, when he stars in Werner Herzog's new drama Bucking Fastard.
