20 Amazing Movie Plot Twists That Never Get Talked About

Folk tends to talk less about comedies where great twists are concerned, but we need look no further than 22 Jump Street for one of the genre's most brilliantly gut-busting rug-pulls.

Early in the film, Schmidt (Jonah Hill) hooks up with a student, Maya (Amber Stevens West), only to later learn that she just so happens to be the daughter of his high-strung boss, Captain Dickson (Ice Cube).

Cue the most hilariously awkward lunch of all time as Dickson seethes at Schmidt, well aware that he's had relations with his daughter, and it only gets better once Schmidt's partner Jenko (Channing Tatum) learns what happened a few scenes later and is left thoroughly beside himself.

Regardless of genre, this is just a masterfully deployed twist in its own right, so perfectly set up that the audience won't realise what's coming until it's too late, and brilliantly performed by all involved.
