Herc has been an Avenger since 1967, making him the last of the 1960s team members to grace this list. His powers are exactly what you'd expect - he's quick and he's strong, like any self-respecting Olympian god. The twelfth Avenger is also one of the most popular heroes to ever be featured in the team. Why he won't be in the Avengers movies: Blame Thor. Olympus is just too similar to Asgard, and the MCU is only big enough for one of them! For the same reason, fellow Avenger and Greek god Ares is similarly out of luck.

After working for many years as a writer and editor for a large corporation, he is now a freelancer.
