The Plot: Four vampires (Taika Waititi, Jemaine Clement, Jonathan Brugh and Ben Fransham) live in a house together in Wellington, New Zealand, trying to navigate the modern world while introducing a documentary camera crew to their weird ways. Why It's Awesome: Neither the vampire movie nor the mockumentary genre have done much of merit recently, making Clement and Waititi's sublimely funny take on both all the more refreshing. In many ways an ultimate example of the fish-out-of-water comedy, there's an inherent hilarity to seeing these centuries-old creatures on the prowl for young victims in nightclubs, and for such a low-budget movie, the style (complete with several complex, effects-based sequences) is absolutely sublime. How To Watch It: On VOD now (US) / DVD April 13 (UK)
