8. Alice Cooper In Wayne's World
As you may have noticed by now, musicians have a thing for appearing in movies. Rock legend Alice Cooper appears in 1992's Wayne's World as Wayne and Garth's favorite rock god (himself) offering a stark contrast to his onstage persona. They enter his dressing room and he regales them with knowledge on Milwaukee: "It's pronounced 'mill-e-wah-que', which is Algonquin for 'the good land'." Not only is the star quality of the casting a draw, it is also the classic case of developing humor by casting against type. We expect Alice Cooper to shock us, not give us a history lesson. 7. David Hasselhoff In The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie
Okay, so one could argue that this pick is a little biased because SpongeBob SquarePants is arguably my favorite show of all time, but there is no denying that this is a great cameo, before Hasselhoff sold out and started doing it for anyone. SpongeBob and Patrick need to get back to bikini bottom to return King Neptune's crown before he executes Mr. Krabs (yes, this is a kids movie) but unfortunately, Patrick prematurely releases their bag of winds so they are stuck. But never fear, David Hasselhoff is here, and complete with his Baywatch outfit and slow motion entrance, the Hoff saves the day by swimming the boys back to Bikini Bottom.
