8. Blizzard's Icons - Warcraft

Before the movie even properly starts, Warcraft is busy doling out the visual nods to icons brought to life by video game developer Blizzard.

In the company's opening logo, you'll be able to spot icy renditions of Kerrigan from Starcraft, Warcraft's Arthas, and perhaps most surprisingly of all, Tracer from Overwatch, a game which had been released just weeks before the movie hit cinemas.

While opinion is split on the film as a whole, at least it made itself clear from the outset that this would be one for the fans, rather than for critics or uninitiated fans of fantasy fare.
