4. Michael Caine's Cameo - Dunkirk

Dunkirk Tom Hardy
Warner Bros.

This one's easily missed unless you're watching Christopher Nolan's war epic with headphones, but when Farrier (Tom Hardy) and the other fighter pilots are listening to orders over the radio, the voice on the other end belongs to none other than Nolan's good luck charm himself, Michael Caine.

It's an especially apt cameo as Caine played a fighter pilot himself, Squadron Leader Canfield, in the 1969 war film Battle of Britain, something Nolan acknowledged as intentional, while adding, "It's Michael. He has to be in all my films, after all."
