20 Best Ever Quentin Tarantino Characters

11. Sergeant Donny Donowitz- Inglourious Basterds

eli-rot Another character that has ties to the rest of the Tarantino universe, as Donny €˜The Bear Jew€™ Donowitz is said to be the father of the character Lee Donowitz from the film True Romance, a film written by Tarantino and directed by the late Tony Scott. I find this incredibly cool, especially as in True Romance Lee Donowitz is a film producer who is trying to produce a war movie. Was he inspired by his father€™s daring exploits and death in WW2? Looking at the man behind the Bear, director and sometimes actor Eli Roth can be a polarising figure in the world of film. Roth€™s most famous projects, Hostel Part 1 and 2, which were brought to life with the help of Tarantino himself, are seen by many people as utterly disgusting films without depth, however I see them as decent gory horror films that certainly had an impact upon their release. When it comes to acting, Roth is not exactly as good as some of his fellow cast members, such as Brad Pitt and Christoph Waltz, however when the character you are playing is a cool-as-hell baseball bat swinging, Nazi killer who strikes fear in the heart of Hitler and his entire Third Reich, it doesn€™t matter how good an actor you are!
