20 Best Movie Moments Of 2016

Reboot and remake movies are a notoriously tricky thing to master. Finding the right balance between paying homage to the source material while putting your own fresh spin on it is hard, but if anyone proved it could be done this year it’s Jon Favreau and his take on The Jungle Book.

Part live-action and part CGI-animated, it’s a magical and visually stunning take on a Disney classic and thanks to its amazing animation and talented voice cast, the much-loved animal characters featured in the original are beautifully brought to life. King Louie, brilliantly voiced by Christopher Walken, might just be the best. Supersized from an orangutan to a gigantopithecus (an extinct ape, but we won’t dwell on that), his first appearance riffs on Colonel Kurtz’s famous scene from Apocalypse Now and features Walken in typical funny yet menacing form before bursting into the movie’s classic song ‘I Wan'na Be Like You’.
