This teaser poster gives an interesting spin on a somewhat-tired genre. Instead of going the easy route of plastering Johnny Depp's face everywhere, the one-sheet achieves what it sets out to achieve using far less. What grabs the eye is the creative cropping of this victim's body. Just because his head disappears off the page, doesn't mean that we don't know his head's been shot apart. This poster speaks to how indoctrinated we all are into cinematic violence - they know we will understand this kind of image, even with half of it missing. That's a chilling prospect.
