20 Best Netflix Original Movies Of 2019 - Ranked

8. El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie

El Camino Aaron Paul Jesse

Even though it doesn't need to exist in the slightest, El Camino is a welcome return to the Breaking Bad universe. It feels like reuniting with your university pals after five or ten years apart - something you could've carried on without, but is familiar and fun nonetheless.

It also helps that the movie features a career-best performance from Aaron Paul, who doesn't miss a single step despite being away from Jesse Pinkman for several years at this point. Paul hits all the right notes with an amazing level of depth - he's funny, tortured, violent, and everything else in-between - proving that he's far better than his underwhelming movie career would seem to indicate.

It's hard to say if people who don't like Breaking Bad will find anything to enjoy here, but fans of the show will get a massive kick out of this slickly-produced two-hour epilogue.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
