Few actors have truly embodied an iconic superhero as effortlessly and convincingly as Wesley Snipes in the Blade movies, and a whole two decades before Black Panther showed up, he helped launch Hollywood's obsession with comic book fare.

With his cheekily gruff line readings and immaculate screen presence, Snipes ensured Blade felt every bit the grizzled bada** he was on the page, and while the movies are unmistakable products of their era, Snipes' performance is still ludicrously entertaining today.
