20 Best Selling Blu-Rays Of All Time

13. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

Total Copies Sold: 3,058,537 Much has been made about The Hobbit on a technical level - the 48fps debacle and how replacing real-life miniatures with CGI lends a sheen a fakeness to Middle Earth - but clearly in terms of HD entertainment people are on board. Although it may not have worked magic in certain corners, to general audiences The Hobbit is regarded as a hit and this clearly transferred over to the home video sales. The Desolation Of Smaug has over a million less copies shifted than the first entry. It's obviously been available for less time, but that's quite a gap. Perhaps people are holding out for the Extended Edition or, more likely, the full trilogy box set.
