20 Brilliantly Obscure Comic Book Movie Easter Eggs You Didn't Notice

15. Arnim Zola's Robot Body (Captain America: The First Avenger)

In the scene Captain America: The First Avenger when HYDRA scientist Arnim Zola is first introduced, his face is shown enlarged in a magnifying glass. This is undoubtedly a clever reference to the comic book version of the character, who goes from being a human to becoming a massive head projected from a screen in the body of a headless robotic host. Then, later on, when Zola picks up his paperwork ready to escape later on in the film, you can clearly see the blueprints for that exact robotic body in amongst it. In the next Captain America film - Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which is set some seventy years later - it was conveyed that Arnim Zola had died, but had projected his consciousness into a computer. The computer was destroyed in the movie, but that doesn't necessarily mean that his consciousness was, so there€™s every chance that he could appear in his robotic form in the future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which would make this Easter egg a cool foreshadowing.
