The original Matrix movie remains to this day a groundbreaking exercise in action-packed science fiction filmmaking - unfortunately, despite all the hype and anticipation, the sequels fell short of its greatness by a wide margin. Too much use of unnecessary CGI and a convoluted plot ruined the legacy of the original for many of its fans. That said, The Matrix Reloaded did manage to make up for its crude philosophizing and cartoony fight scenes with the freeway chase - while there are some moments where it looks rather silly (the obvious green screen fight on the top of the lorry springs to mind), the practical stuntwork on the rush hour carriageway showed moments of real flair from the Wachowskis. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8OZpmIWcxg
