20 Easter Eggs You Somehow Missed In Quantum Of Solace

MGM/Columbia Pictures

James Bond's Lotus Esprit Turbo came with a very novel security device in the 1981 film, For Your Eyes Only: when some thugs try to break into it, it blows up, taking the would-be vandals with it! This forces Roger Moore's Bond to rely upon the transport available to Carole Bouquet's Melina Havelock, which he is dismayed to find is a little yellow Citroën 2CV.

Similarly, when the resources of MI6 turn against Daniel Craig's Double-0 Seven in Bolivia in Quantum of Solace, the resourceful Camille arrives in a grey Volkswagen Beetle, collecting him from the lavish Andean Grand Hotel before he can be captured by teams of MI6 and CIA troubleshooter.

Like Moore's Double-0 Seven, whilst it is neither a gadget-laden sportscar nor the style to which Craig's Bond is accustomed, he can hardly complain!

I started writing for WhatCulture in July 2020. I have always enjoyed reading and writing. I have contributed to several short story competitions and I have occasionally been fortunate enough to have my work published. During the COVID-19 lockdown, I also started reviewing films on my Facebook page. Numerous friends and contacts suggested that I should start my own website for reviewing films, but I wanted something a bit more diverse - and so here I am! My interests focus on film and television mainly, but I also occasionally produce articles that venture into other areas as well. In particular, I am a fan of the under appreciated sequel (of which there are many), but I also like the classics and the mainstream too.
