1. John Boyega - Finn (Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens)
Release Date: December 18 The Movie: The long-awaited seventh entry into the Star Wars franchise, helmed by J.J. Abrams as a fresh trio of heroes are introduced into the universe to battle a new evil. The Role: Widely believed to be the new Luke Skywalker-type character, Finn is a character who, in John Boyega's own words, starts out the story as a Stormtrooper, but is also a good guy. How? In true Abrams style, plenty doesn't quite add up yet. Why It'll Define 2015: It's tough to pick just one performance in this movie that's going to outshine the rest, for as fun as it'll be to see Luke, Leia and Han Solo again, and Oscar Isaac certainly looks the part as new master pilot Poe Dameron, it's the Luke-type character who's most likely to be the heart and soul of the story. Plus, Boyega is still relatively unknown to audiences at large, and he's going to become an overnight sensation as long as he gives a half-decent performance in the movie.
