6. Harry Styles (Dunkirk)

The Role: Little is known about Styles' role beyond him playing a young allied soldier caught in the middle of the Dunkirk evacuation.

Why It'll Define 2017: Many groaned or at least raised their eyebrows when One Direction's Harry Styles was cast in Christopher Nolan's long-awaited war drama, but the casting department have since indicated that Styles won the part on merit alone and wasn't given a role in an attempt to make the film more popular with the tween crowd.

Styles certainly looks the part, and stranger things have happened than a young musician with virtually no acting experience giving a knockout performance when hand-selected by an extremely talented director.

It would be one Hell of a story, and given how well Nolan works with actors (apart from Marion Cotillard's death scene in The Dark Knight Rises, of course), it seems pretty likely that Styles could be at the start of a promising film career.
