The Role: John Kramer aka Jigsaw, the terminally ill cancer patient behind the grotesque events of the original Saw movies. John's dead now, but he's back...somehow. Probably in flashback form, right?

Why It'll Define 2017: The Saw series may well have run its course by the time 2010's apparently final Saw 3D came out, but there was one thoroughly entertaining constant throughout: Tobin Bell's sublimely unsettling turn as Jigsaw.

As absurd as it is for him to be appearing in an eighth movie after being killed off at the end of Saw III, Legacy would certainly want for Bell's presence if he wasn't there, and no matter the film's quality, at least fans know Bell will provide a welcome dose of nostalgia back to the series' glory days.

As long as he says, "Do you want to play a game?" or "Game over", it's all good.
