3. Change
Hollywood characters have a really hard time changing. They believe that if they change, they aren't staying true to who they are. They don't want to change for their boyfriends, for their bosses, for their friends. They just want to stay true to themselves. Which is crap. I'm sorry I'm not sorry. I agree that there are some things that you shouldn't change about yourself for someone else, especially if you think that by doing so you will regret it and resent that person for the rest of your life. However, change is a natural part of life. What you used to like may not be enjoyable a few years from now. The music you listened to when you were in high school might just sound like noise to you after you graduate college. Not only is it okay to change, but it is really very easy to once you learn to accept it and Hollywood shows us that you can never accept it, unless you want to admit defeat.
