20 Fantastic German Horror Films You Must See Before You Die

16. Suicide (2004)

Antibodies Movie
Troma

Filmed documentary-style, Suicide is one heck of a downer movie. The films details two empty individuals who run a website in which they film people committing suicide and then post the videos online for others to watch. If you're still curious about seeing this film after reading that premise, don't feel bad, you're not alone.

A lot of this movie features highly alarming material which actually looks quite realistic. Over the course of the proceedings, the filmmakers portrayed in the movie become more and more involved in the on-screen suicide action, leaving their morality meter off the charger. The suicide scenes in question are relentless – two girls down vodka and pills, an old man rejects his heart pills, a man shoots up an air bubble – and all of this is the less disturbing stuff.

Thankfully, there are a few silly twist endings to relieve the bleakness or else we, the viewers, would be committing suicide ourselves to escape this procession of morbid events. Still, if you want to see something that will have you asking “What the hell is wrong with me, why am I watching this?” then this is definitely the movie for you.
