5. Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig) - House Of 1000 Corpses (2003)
Funny, charismatic and one hell of a cook, Captain Spaulding has two qualities that keep him out of your good graces - his taste for clown outfits and his sadistic love of torture. If youre researching local legends, hell show you his Museum Of Monsters & Madmen, but thats just a pretext to getting you hooked on the story of Dr Satan, and if you follow his directions to the spot where the Doc was supposedly hanged, youll ultimately end up a prisoner of Spauldings associates, the Firefly clan. From the way he talks to cops, you get the impression that the Captain is an old hand at evading questions and dodging the law. Shown a photograph of one of the clans victims, he says: Cute kid not my type, though. You know, I like em with a little more meat on em. The bigger the cushion, the sweeter the pushin.
