To put an animation sequence like this in the middle of a live-action film, especially when none of the other films ever had any scenes like this, was a huge gamble in retrospect. Therefore, it's a surprise how brilliantly this worked.
This is one of the moments from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One, which is another one of the franchise's less-essential (but still good) films, that everyone still remembers very vividly. It's a visually beautiful and incredibly clever animated scene which is filled with striking imagery and smart bits of symbolism.
It's not quite the best scene from this particular instalment (you can probably guess what that will be), but it's a close second.
