20 Greatest Video Game Movie Moments EVER

7. Scorpion Vs. Johnny Cage - Mortal Kombat (1995)

Mortal Kombat

Cheesy and dated though it might be, Paul W.S. Anderson's original 1995 Mortal Kombat movie is still a whole lotta fun, and never gets better than the thrilling brawl between Scorpion (Chris Casamassa) and Johnny Cage (Linden Ashby).

The fight kicks off in a wooded expanse as Scorpion attempts to use his spear to kill Johnny, and even shouts his iconic quip, "Get over here!"

After Johnny evades the spear, the pair end up transported to another, decidedly more hellish-looking realm, where the battle continues on a series of unstable platforms.

Sure, it perhaps gets a bit too ridiculous for its own good when Scorpion rips his face off to reveal a goofy skeleton underneath, which Cage then slices off, but it's nevertheless a fight scene that understands the heightened fun of Mortal Kombat - even with a PG-13 rating holding it back.
