20 Greatest Video Game Movie Moments EVER

4. The First-Person Sequence - Doom (2005)

We're probably overdue Hollywood taking another crack at Doom, but the 2005 movie at least delivered a stylistically adventurous and absurdly entertaining interpretation of the series' first-person demon-slaying mayhem.

Near the end of this otherwise relatively forgettable sci-fi actioner, protagonist John "Reaper" Grimm (Karl Urban) is injected with an experimental serum which, in addition to saving his life, bestows him with superhuman ass-kicking abilities.

And so, a five-minute sequence follows in which, from an entirely first-person perspective, we witness Reaper stalk the UAC research facility, shooting infected humans and monsters alike, and eventually doing battle with an enemy Doom fans will know all-too-well - the Pinky.

It's clear that so much effort went into producing this sequence - including an entire three months of prep time, apparently - and considering it's the only thing anybody remembers about Doom 2005, it was most certainly time well spent.
