The Man Who Knew Too Little is never going to be remembered as Bill Murray's finest hour, but it has plenty of charming moments and deserves to be rated far more highly than the 41% it currently has on Rotten Tomatoes. Murray plays Wallace Richie, an American visiting his relatives in London who inadvertently gets caught up in a real international espionage case after going along to an improvisational street theatre group who play out crime dramas. The mistaken identity set ups and payoffs might be a bit on the obvious side, but when you're watching a broad comedy such as The Man Who Knew Too Little criticising it for its narrative flaws seems to be missing the point. It's Murray's film through and through, so if you're a fan you should add this to your Netflix schedule immediately.
