20 Hottest Stephen King Adaptations Currently In Development

16. The Boogeyman

The best thing about King's adaptations being more successful is that more obscure stories are now being considered, like 1973 short story The Boogeyman, which is now in the hands of screenwriting duo behind A Quiet Place and from 21 Laps (who made Stranger Things).

The story, which was released as part of the Night Shift collection, follows a father who loses several children to an evil presence in the closet and now it's coming to the big screen (to follow its previous stage play adaptation).

If they can nail the nostalgia of Stranger Things and the creepiness of A Quiet Place, it'll be a winner.
