11. Hieroglyph Depicts C-3PO & R2-D2 - Raiders Of The Lost Ark
Another great (and much more subtle) Star Wars reference shows up when Indy and Sallah (John Rhys Davies) are about to take the stone lid off the sarcophagus containing the Ark. In one brief shot, the viewer can see a pillar containing various hieroglyphs behind Indy, and on closer inspection, one of them looks a little familiar. Yes, that's right, the hieroglyphs are of everyone's favourite Star Wars robots, R2-D2 and C-3PO. There is reportedly also a hieroglyph of Princess Leia inserting the Death Star's plans into R2-D2 in the scene, though it's incredibly difficult to spot and even harder to get a decent screen cap of.
