7. THX 1138 (George Lucas' First Film) Reference - Indiana Jones & The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull
Moments before the infamous "nuked the fridge" moment in Crystal Skull, there's a relatively subtle reference to George Lucas' feature debut, the 1971 cult classic sci-fi flick THX 1138. After fleeing the Russians in Area 51 and stumbling onto a nuclear test site, he runs through a model home, and after exiting it, the house number is visible as "138". This might seem like a coincidence to some, but Lucas has a habit of including numerical references such as this to his debut. Sure, it's missing the first 1, but it's still immensely unlikely that this was an accident, that the one repeated number of the sequence would be the one missing.
