3. "You Are Not Ape." - Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes
The entire dramatic crux of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is Caesar's (Andy Serkis) teachings, namely that "ape shall not kill ape". However, when surly ape Koba (Toby Kebbell) attempts to assassinate Koba and blame it on the humans before murdering Ash by throwing him from a balcony, Caesar is forced to act. After fighting Caesar at the end of the movie, Koba is left hanging from a ledge. Caesar lifts him up as Koba says, "Ape not kill ape", before Caesar tells him, "You are not ape" and drops Koba to his death. It's a major turning point for Caesar as a character, as he betrays his own ape law for the betterment of his community, sending Koba to his apparent death with one awesomely bada** put-down. Whether Koba has actually survived or not (due to a post-credit sound of an ape escaping from rubble) will remain to be seen.
