Once again, Italy portrays the America of the “future” as a war-torn wasteland where bad actors in 80s clothes chase each other on motorcycles, though The Bronx Warriors isn’t content just to rip-off Mad Max.

There’s shades of Escape from New York and The Warriors as a killer is hired by a shadowy corporation to murder the gang leaders and find a kidnapped girl, but director Enzo G Castellari has the edge on his competitors – his movie actually was shot in the Bronx.
