Perhaps this is wishful thinking, but Galactus could very well be the next big bad of the Marvel Cinematic Universe once Thanos is dealt with. Marvel Studios actually offered Fox the chance to keep the rights for Daredevil in exchange for Galactus and the Silver Surfer way back in 2012, and it's recently been rumoured that they managed to get their hands on those two after allowing the rival studio to move forward on their Legion and Hellfire Club TV shows (despite holding the rights to the X-Men, Fox still needed permission to bring them to the small screen). With the Fantastic Four franchise in the toilet thanks to Josh Trank's reboot last year, Fox probably wouldn't be that bothered about saying goodbye to these two, especially as they've no doubt held onto the team and the rest of their villains for another attempt at a reboot a few years from now. As a result, I would be shocked if Avengers: Infinity War doesn't end with Galactus (quite possibly sans Silver Surfer) taking aim at a vulnerable Earth after Thanos' attack to set up the next big Avengers movie whether that's at the end of Phase 4 or somewhere a little further down the line. After all, it's hard to think of anyone other than this World Eater who can really top Thanos as a major threat to Earth's Mightiest Heroes! Which Marvel characters do you want to see in Phase 3?
