20 Mind-Blowing Facts You Never Knew About Harry Potter

13. Members Of The Stone Roses, Pulp & Radiohead Make Cameos (The Prisoner Of Azkaban & The Goblet Of Fire)

It seems that pretty much everyone under the sun wanted to get in on the Harry Potter phenomenon, as the movies even starred a number of famous musicians. In The Prisoner Of Azkaban, The Stone Roses lead signer Ian Brown plays the wizard sitting in the Leaky Cauldron reading A Brief History Of Time, though was originally cast in the larger role of the pub landlord, but due to time constraints, he opted for this cameo instead. Then in The Goblet Of Fire, the band playing at the Yule Ball is made up of members from Pulp and Radiohead including Jarvis Cocker and Johnny Greenwood, with Cocker writing the band's songs. Prior to these musicians forming the band known in the books known as the Weird Sisters (who go unnamed in the film because of a legal dispute with Canadian folk band Wyrd Sisters), Scottish band Franz Ferdinand were also approached to play as them.
