20 Mind-Blowing Facts You Never Knew About Pixar
9. They Came Up With Half Their Movies During One Lunch Meeting
Next time you want to feel really unproductive, remember that Pixar came up with the ideas for A Bug's Life, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo and Wall-E all in one lunch meeting.
In 1994, while Toy Story was in production, John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, Pete Docter and Joe Ranft got lunch in a diner where they brainstormed a bunch of ideas that would turn into some of their biggest movies, sketching them out on napkins. The lunch was held in a diner called the Hidden City Cafe, which has actually made a cameo in some of their films, including Monsters Inc.
The diner closed down in 2012, but it's crazy to think that billions of dollars and some of the greatest animated films of all time all came out of a single lunch break.
