11. Scream 7
The working plan for Scream 7 was supposedly for the film to release towards the end of 2024 - presumably around Halloween time - but who knows whether that will actually happen.
Given the problems of this seventh offering, one of the reasons this is so anticipated is the sheer car-crash nature that surrounds the picture.
Of course, Melissa Barrera - as in, modern franchise lead Sam Carpenter - has been fired from the movie, fellow lead Jenna Ortega has walked away from the project as a result, director Christopher Landon has been left in limbo, script overhauls are underway, and Spyglass are once again low-balling franchise fave Neve Campbell in their attempts to get her to return.
