Here's a horror film you almost certainly didn't see coming - the Coen Brothers are imminently due to start shooting one.

Though the legendary duo have pursued solo projects ever since completing 2018's The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, Ethan Coen confirmed earlier this year that they will reunite to film their "pure horror" script after he completes production of his new detective comedy Honey Don't!.

Given that Honey Don't! wrapped shooting back in May and is now presumably deep into post-production for a 2025 release, it's highly probable that the Coens' horror film shoots sometime next year ahead of a 2026 release.

Considering that the Coens demonstrated their aptitude for horror way back in their 1984 debut Blood Simple, it's tremendously exciting to see what they'll cook up over four decades later.
