It wasn't too long ago that director James Wan declared he was all done with horror movies... but just when he thought he was out, they pulled him back in. After last year's troubled but massively successful blockbuster Fast & Furious 7, Wan's back on familiar ground with this follow-up to his 2013 supernatural horror hit.
Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are back as the real-life husband and wife paranormal investigators the Warrens, who this time cross the pond to investigate a poltergeist disturbance in London. The film is modeled on the infamous real-life case of the Enfield poltergeist, which the Warrens were indeed involved in; this same case previously inspired infamous 1992 BBC drama Ghostwatch.
