An absolute joy, Paddington 2 is a rare superior sequel which is even more charming, more heartfelt and more bloody lovely than the original.

It's a fitting pick for the most beloved film of the year as well and it deserves to be cherished forever. As does Hugh Grant's delightful performance as the villain, which ought to be up for Oscars but probably won't be.
