20 Most Extreme Horror Films Of All Time
1. The Entire Guinea Pig Series (1985-1988)
The Guinea Pig films are a series of six controversial Japanese gore-slasher films (seven if you include the final compilation film) that achieved global notoriety during the '80s for its purely visceral lack of humanity.
The first two films in particular have gained an unsavory reputation due to their extreme content and resemblance to snuff films. Surely everybody has heard the story of Charlie Sheen actually contacting the FBI upon watching one of the films, mistaking the onscreen violence as genuine.
Guinea Pig 2: Flower Of Flesh & Blood seems to be the standout of the series. The “plot“ of the film in a nutshell is as follows; a stranger stalks for a victim, chases down that victim and then brings her back to his torture chamber. No names, or recognisable cast is needed. It is a killer and his onscreen torture session. What follows is the slow torment and dismemberment of this young lady till complete dislocation of all her parts. To allow for a slower procedure he heavily drugs the victim to the point of complete numbness and displacement. If these films were indeed the real deal, it would be easy to mistake them for a snapshot of hell itself.
