20 Most Idiotic Film Twists Of All Time

18. The Ending Is An Advertisement For A Website - The Devil Inside

The Twist: As her friends try to get her to an exorcist, a possessed Isabella Rossi (Fernanda Andrade) attacks Michael (Ionut Grama), who is driving the car and quickly becomes possessed, unbuckling his seatbelt and accelerating.

He crashes the car, at which point the movie cuts to black, and a title card says that the Rossi case remains unsolved, while "for more information about the ongoing investigation", viewers are advised to visit www.therossifiles.com.

Why It's Stupid: Because it's an insanely cheap and cheeky cop-out: rather than actually come up with a proper ending, the filmmakers just direct you to a website where the mystery continues, and to rub salt in the wound, that site isn't even operational anymore.

When people go to see a horror movie, they expect an actual ending to their film rather than a lame cliffhanger and URL link. Perhaps the only thing stupider than the movie itself is that it incredulously grossed over 100-times its budget at the box office.
