The War Machine armour, or Iron Patriot if you prefer (depending on the specific movie and/or colour scheme), is the armour worn by Tony Stark's good friend James "Rhodey" Rhodes. While it looks very similar to the Iron Man armour in terms of its design and make up (certainly not in terms of colours), it is far cruder and more primitive in terms of its functions. That's not to say it isn't high-tech - it certainly is - but its weaponry is definitely less sophisticated and versatile, relying on repulsor beam blasts and a mini-gun, as opposed to the more intricate weapons of Tony Stark's armour (it has no missiles or multiple-targeting explosives etc). Of course, it still also enables Rhodey to fly and grants him a high level of durability and super-strength.
