7. Anakin Murders The Younglings (Revenge Of The Sith)

The Moment: In order to well and truly wipe out the Jedi and prove his allegiance to Darth Sidious, Anakin slaughters an entire Jedi Temple full of defenseless trainees known as "Younglings."

Why It's So Ridiculous: The obvious intent here is to again show just how far gone Anakin is, but like the Tusken Raiders scene in the previous film, it falls flat because it feels rushed and unearned.

Rather than a grim exclamation point on Anakin's turn to the Dark Side, this felt like a cheap shortcut to show audiences how evil he had become. Plus, calling them Younglings was a terrible idea, as even world-class actor Ewan McGregor struggled to keep a straight face when announcing their deaths.
