20 Movie Scenes That Should've Been Cut
7. The Cat Attack - Let the Right One In
Let the Right One In is one of the best horror movies of the last two decades, if not ever, but once again proving that no movie is perfect, there's one scene which pulls a lot of viewers right out of its richly curated atmosphere.
After Virginia (Ika Nord) is attacked by Eli (Lina Leandersson) and turned into a vampire, she visits a friend's apartment where she's suddenly attacked by her army of cats.
Now, it would be disingenuous to suggest that the scene wasn't meant to be darkly, absurdly funny, but it unfortunately lurches into unintentional laughter due to the atrocious VFX work used to bring the felines to "life."
Even in the film's release year of 2008, this scene was widely singled out as its low point - a clear case of a filmmaker trying to execute a scene from the source material without the technical know-how or budget to do it justice.
Considering that the scene isn't really necessary to further the overall story, it could've easily been cut.
