Harold awaits word from the doctors who are trying to work on keeping Maude alive. Why It's Great: It's a total heartbreaker. Considering how strange the plot of the film is, it is frequently wonderfully warm and genuinely touching, no more so than in this sequence. There is a real sense of urgency as the scene goes on and Cat Steven's voice is a perfect fit. The whole soundtrack, composed by Stevens, is brilliant.
