20 Movies Released In 2015 Guaranteed To Win Awards

1. Silence

Release date: Winter What's it about? Adapted from the exceptional Japanese novel by Shusako Endo, The Silence tells of missionaries in Japan who are persecuted by the locals after trying to introduce Christianity to the country. Liam Neeson and Ken Watanabe star, with Andrew Garfield (hopefully proving he's better than the Spider-Man franchise) and Adam Driver also set to appear. What makes it award-worthy? This is a Martin Scorsese movie which, like The Wolf Of Wall Street, is set for a Christmas release so it's highly likely that the studio is aiming for another Oscar nomination sweep in 2016. With a bit of luck The Silence will actually win more awards - it certainly has the potential to do so, given the more serious nature of the subject matter and the literary pedigree of the source material. Which upcoming 2015 movies do you think will sweep up awards? Why not let us know in the comments below?
