20 Movies So Good You Ignore Huge Plot Holes

8. Deadpool & Wolverine - The Entire Premise

Deadpool and Wolverine
Marvel Studios

Deadpool & Wolverine is an absolute joy. It's got hysterical jokes, crowd-pleasing cameos, dynamite action scenes, a surprisingly emotional climax, and the killer double-act of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, both of whom are as phenomenal as they've always been. As such, it's a lot easier to forgive just how paper-thin the central conflict actually is.

In this one, Deadpool (Reynolds) meets up with the Time Variance Authority, who are planning to destroy his timeline, as, following the death of the original Wolverine (Jackman), the timeline's 'anchor being', the timeline is declining. As well as feeling like a lazy way to drive Deadpool to try and retrieve a new Wolverine variant, it also raises quite a few questions. Why hasn't the main MCU continuity begun collapsing? Wouldn't Iron Man have been that universe's anchor-being?

You don't exactly come to Deadpool movies for the plot, but surely there was a better way to drive the story than this? Still, despite this shaky start, Deadpool & Wolverine will win most viewers over with its wit and style.
