Kenneth Branagh’s second big film of 2016, Murder on the Orient Express, is an adaptation of Agatha Christie’s classic 1934 detective novel of the same name. Not only is Branagh directing and co-producing the movie, he’s also nabbed himself the best part – that of the famous moustachioed fictional detective Hercule Poirot.

The title of the movie is pretty self-explanatory: a murder is committed on a cross-country train journey and the ever-perceptive Poirot must deduce who is behind the crime from a ragtag group of fellow passengers. This will be the second time Christie’s novel has been adapted for the big screen, but the actor that Branagh will no doubt be compared to the most in his portrayal of Poirot is David Suchet who played the fictional detective in a long-running British TV series to much critical acclaim.

Branagh is joined by an all-star cast including Johnny Depp as murder victim Mr. Ratchett and Star Wars: The Force Awakens actress Daisy Ridley as governess Mary Debenham.
