11. Ocean's Eight (Cate Blanchett & Matt Damon)

Though it's easy to roll your eyes at a "gender-swapped" spin-off from a classic movie franchise, especially after last year's Ghostbusters debacle, the Ocean's series is actually a natural fit for an all-female makeover.

For one, is anybody really holding the Ocean's movies dear? They're slick, fun films but not exactly precious high art, and so there's no way a new, female-led film can remotely "ruin" what came before (plus let's face it, Ocean's Twelve was really quite awful).

Sandra Bullock stars as Debbie Ocean, sister of George Clooney's Danny, who leads a team of eight thieves, played by Thor: Ragnarok's villain Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson and Awkwafina.

Original franchise stars Matt Damon (who had such a memorable cameo in Ragnarok) and Carl Reiner are said to make cameos, while a litany of celebrities will also appear as themselves, in what could be a neat distaff spin on the heist film stylings of Steven Soderbergh's enjoyable caper trilogy.
