God Particle is one of next year's most mystifying films, as it's less than two months away from being released and there's still no trailer released, despite it being produced by J.J. Abrams and starring three MCU actors in Daniel Brühl, Elizabeth Debicki and Chris O'Dowd, as well as Gugu Mbatha-Raw, David Oyelowo and Zhang Ziyi.

The wrinkle here is that God Particle is in fact the third entry into the Cloverfield franchise, and as was so brilliantly effective with 10 Cloverfield Lane, there's going to be only the most minimal hype campaign. When the first trailer eventually drops, it's going to give almost nothing away.

We know it's a sci-fi movie set in space and an experiment results in a space station's crew coming into contact with aliens. There's presumably going to be some sort of Cloverfield monster in it at some point, but the less everyone knows before they're sat in the cinema, most likely the better.
