In Star Wars: First Order stormtrooper-turned-resistance fighter Finn, the charming and charismatic wise-cracker of the three new protagonists moving forward in the new Star Wars trilogy. But you remembered all that, right? The New Movie: Acclaimed writer-director James Ponsoldt (The Spectacular Now, The End of the Tour) directs this adaptation of Dave Eggers' 2013 sci-fi novel, in which a young woman (Emma Watson) starts an exciting job at a tech company, only to uncover some shady secrets lurking not-so-deep below the surface. Boyega plays her love interest, though the less said about his fairly spoilerific part, the better. Needless to say, with this amount of talent attached, it's a smart career move for Boyega, even if he's clinging pretty tightly to the sci-fi genre for now.
